The Esplanade Hotel Weddings

Up to 60 guests

Groups of up to 60 guests can be fully catered in the formal Ballroom with its beautiful chandeliers and grand architecture of last century. Table settings can be created to suit your individual requirements. Guests are also welcome to use the adjoining bar area.

Up to 80 guests

Groups of up to 80 guests can celebrate with cocktails and canapes in the formal Ballroom, and adjoining Esplanade Bar (bar non-exclusive) while enjoying views of the harbour and Auckland city. Both the Ballroom and Esplanade Bar feature open fireplaces, creating warmth and intimacy through the winter months. The Ballroom is also the perfect setting for your wedding ceremony.

High Tea Weddings

Vintage High Tea weddings are a particular feature of The Esplanade.

The Esplanade Hotel High Tea Weddings are perfect for afternoon weddings. We provide exclusive use of the Ballroom, which is perfect if you are after a heritage feel. Each guest is served high tea (or coffee) with beautiful vintage plates and teapots.
